Potato is a starchy, tuberous crop from the Solanaceae family. It is the world’s fourth-largest food crop and an important crop for India. India is the 2nd highest producer of Potato in the world. It is one of the few crops where India’s average production is higher than the world average at around 19 MT per Hectare.
